Natural home remedies for Blackheads removal
There are not enough blackheads on my nose to try all the natural blackhead treatment methods available! I’ll be honest I’ve tried only few of the methods provided here. More or less they were effective. So maybe you should first try natural home remedies for blackheads instead of pressing them out with comedone remover, your fingers or other tools or medicines.

Some of these look similar, but for the sake of our skin I'll add everything I can find - I hope you're patient to reading. Before trying any of these blackheads removal methods it is firstly advisable to soften your skin and pores with steam or wet warm towel.

CAUTION: even though baking powder, lemon and tomato juices are very effective, they might burn your skin! Use it cautiously and carefully or choose another one of home remedies for blackheads.

And so here we go - the wisdom of our grandparents:

  • Mix some natural lemon juice and cinnamon and apply it to your face for few minutes. Wash it off with warm water. It helps remove dead skin cells as well as blackheads and also makes your skin soft and smooth.
  • Orange Peel: Make a paste of orange peel and water. Works just fine!
  • Apply toothpaste onto comedone for night. It sucks all the humidity out of it and makes it easy to remove. I've tried it on pimples and I must say: strange, but it worked a miracle.
  • Make a paste using fenugreek (methi) leaves. It treats all types of acne (including blackheads of course). Use this coat for 10 to 15 minutes and wash with warm water.
  • Clean your face using tee tree oil. This is definitely one of the most effective ways of getting rid of blackheads.
  • Again lemons: mix it's juice with same amount of rose water. Place it on your blackheads for 30 minutes every day, and the job should be done in about two weeks.
  • Dried basil leaves: same as making tea. Apply this "tea" with cotton when cooled.
  • The yummiest way! Mix some orange peal in a cup of yoghurt and coat your nose or other area containing blackheads with this mass. Keep it as long as possible. Wash your face using mild soap. Tasty and herewith a great home remedy for blackheads, isn't it?
  • Even potatoes? Yes! And it works brilliant. Grate or slice them into chips and apply onto blackheads, whiteheads, pimples or any other acne. Remove potatoes only when they're totally dry.

  • Cut garlic and rub it on the areas needed. It smells I know, but what wouldn't we do for the sake of beauty, right?
  • Wash you face with natural lime juice and milk mixture.
  • Scrub your face with lemon, salt and honey mix for about 10 minutes and wash it off after. Be careful, don't rinse your skin with lemon juice too much, it might make it burning and red.
  • Lime and grounded drumstick pods is told to be one of the most effective home remedy.
  • Spread the white of egg and keep it for ~40 minutes (use cotton if it is not staying in place). Scrub it off when dried.
  • Mix honey and cinnamon in ratio 3:1. Leave it be every night for 1-3 weeks.
  • Boric powder dissolved in hot water is a great way to get rid of blackheads. Saturate your skin with it and after few minutes wetting scrub your skin.

Still reading? Thank you if you do so, and if you think this is not enough, here are some more mixes, pastes and other remedies for your troublesome blackheads removal:

  • Make a paste of neem leaves and turmeric. Spread it.
  • Glycerin soap and table salt makes a great duet.
  • Apply pure lemon juice few times a day - this will make skin soft and clean of blackheads. (And remember the caution I've talked before)
  • Can you believe someone is using banana as a rubber? Try, it might help cleaning your clogged pores. I've heard many people using this home remedy for blackheads.
  • Simply rub orange peel over affected place.
  • Wash your face with water and baking soda mix. Rinse it with warm water. (be careful, some people say it made their skin red and burning)
  • Make your self a mask of banana, lemon juice, salt and honey mix. Keep it on your face for ~half an hour and rinse off.
  • Mint juice mixed with turmenic powder wonderfully treats blackheads. You should apply it for half an hour.
  • Try spreading radish and water paste.

As a licensed esthetician and a DIY addict this is my favorite remedy. It is really inexpensive and easy to use. Mix a very thick solute (paste) of Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate) and very warm H2O and spread on areas with blackheads, acne, or pimples. Let stand for 15-20 min. Remove with a wash cloth dipped in a Lipton tea or black tea solution. The Black tea solution will assist with reducing redness, irritation, as well as impart a small amount of antibacterial properties. As a teen I had problems with back acne; I kept a jar of the Epsom salt and H2O in my shower and used it as an exfoliating scrub each morning. If I was consistent it worked well enough to allow me to wear strapless dresses in the summer.

I know this is nasty and bizarre but my grandma use to tell me ; in the south [Carolina] when teens had acne they had to use their own urine and wash their face with it : YUCK. but VERY effective I don't know why though

A few aspirin allowed to disolve with some apple cider vinegar, work into a paste. The salicylic acid in the aspirin works to get deep into pores and clean them out. It is also coarse and can be used as an exfoliant. I generally leave it on the area of skin overnight.

exfoliate your face..remove all make-up..i use apricot scrub myself. exfoliate your nose,especially the end, but gently!. put a warm to hot towel on your face, focusing on the nose, for a few minutes and open the pores. pat your face dry completely. then apply 'elmers glue to your nose (not kidding) and focus on the area most heavily affected. do not be tempted to peel of the glue too soon! watch tv, read a book for at least 20 to 25 minutes until glue is completely see-thru. if you still see white globs, its not dry! when completely dry, gently peel up the glue from the bridge of nose downard slowly..eeping as much tension on the glue without tearing it. as you come over the tip of the nose,pull down toward your top lip and then straight away! and watch those nasty lil' black wax balls come right out!..hope it helps!..

Sorry girls, but nothing works as a blackhead remover on blackheads on nose or anywhere. I have had them for over twenty years, im 37...nothing I mean nothing works, they always grow back...ahhhhh, it sux, wish I was one of those kardashians...they have such good damn skin....arghhhhhh

using any kind of face pack helps us out to reduce oiliness.... bcz blackheads basically are seen in oily skin... we can make our own face pack wit oatmeal and rosewater... it really works ppl...!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was a teen, I had horrible, embarrassing acne all over my back and I also always broke out on my chin. My stepmother had me take Cod Liver Oil pills each day and amazingly, it worked. The oil works from the inside purging pores. Fish oil may work the same but the Cod Liver Oil was a miracle worker for me.

Just tried a mix of cinnamon and lime juice on My skin. Turned it bright red, and burned like acid! Luckily I washed it off quick and put on some aloe. It still hurts 1/2 hour later tho. Would not recommend!!!

To all you long suffering blackheads victims I recommend: BIORE( brand name ) Nose strips.About 10Au$ for 6pc. Those of us who are plighted by oily skin, I'm sure, share this fear: moisturizer will make my face too oily! I know I thought that for a long time... What I had discovered during my studies in cosmetology/esthetics school, however, is that it is a myth. It's actually quite beneficial--vital, even, for people of all skin types use a moisturizer. ---Why? Because our sebaceous glands produce sebum(oil) when they believe that our skin is dry and requires it... those of us who use harsh ingredients that suck the moisture and oils out of our skin especially are more susceptible to this happening, which results in us "pissing in the wind" when it comes to reducing our blackheads/overzealous sheen, because we just use our "tonics" and think we're good to go, in that we are essentially tricking our sebaceous glands into believing they need to work DOUBLE time in order to provide the natural moisture our skin needs. What we must remember to do is balance our faces with a moisturizer. The key is using the right type! For us grease-slicks, we need to make sure we use a lighter moisturizer--not a heavy cream... like, more of the consistency of gel, while still white, than the consistency of regular hand cream. I have blackheads and I have trouble preventing acne and getting rid of blackheads. I am very sceptical of home remedies but will try new things. I took microbioly and a lot of other science classes and I learned that acne starts within the pore because of sort of like a complication or an overproduction of sebum from the sebaceous glands and this plugs the pore. This makes me wonder if anything on the surface of the skin actually works, atleast not for preventative measures. Maybe the fish oil but would it actually reduce the production of sebum. And the lotion a lot of times uses alcohol maybe to help with evaporation, however, that seems to dry my skin out more than moisturize it in the long run. For some reason though when I started to wash my face every night, it seemed to atleast exfoliate my skin, and maybe just because I'm getting older too my acne doesn't seem to be as bad. I also have large pores and wish I could figure out how to get rid of that problem too.

I also have tried pro-activ but it really dried my skin and I think it may have even gave me premature lines and wrinkles. It worked ok but I think it works really well for some and not for others. This one girl I saw all the time with really bad acne I noticed didn't have acne anymore and I was thinking to myself something is different about her, than I realized she got rid of it, so I asked what she did and she said pro-activ and thats when I tried it but it actually irratated my skin more. I even tried the more hypoallergenic kind and it still didn't work.

DO NOT try the cinnamon and lemon juice remedy. I JUST tried it and from the second I put it on my nose, it felt like I was pouring acid on it. Once I removed it (could only stand 30 seconds) my whole nose was a BRIGHT red!! Luckily it didn't stay like that for long. And sadly my skin doesn't feel and more clean than when I just washed it :(

So, I have really small but deep blackheads so I tried using non flavored gelatin and milk. 1 Tbs of each in a microwave safe container. after stirring, nuke for 10 seconds. It should look brown and gooey. Take an old foundation brush or qtip and smooth over the area. Let sit and peel off when dry. Viola! Youve just made your own pore strips! Btw I used Knox non flavored gelatin you can find it right with the other jellos. Look hard for it though, you won't notice it right away. Its cheaper and just as effective as the biore pore strips. :]
