Blackheads on Nose

The least health disrupting and at the same time the most appearing problem of face and especially nose hygiene are blackheads. They are often called as pores, though this name is not exactly correct (we'll talk more about pores on nose, because that's were they usually appear). Yes, this blackheads problem is about pores, but the proper name for blackheads would be clogged nose pores.

Pores are tiny holes through which our skin breaths. They are the openings of sebaceous gland's ducts. These glands produce oils and other materials which might accumulate in their ducts. At the entrance (pore) these materials clog. Then this plug is being affected by oxygen. Oxygen makes it harder and changes the color of materials into black or dark brown. That's why clogged nose pores are called blackheads.

In medical terms blackhead is called an open comedo.
