Broken nose symptoms
It is difficult to tell if the nose is broken because it is a very sensitive organ to pain. Suddenly after injury, usually some kind of a blow, acute pain pierces the nose and might stay for some time. Pain is leaded together with bruises and swelling short after. Symptoms mentioned here might appear after either nose breaking or simple hit.
When to see a doctor
Unless short after injury:
- Pain is unbearable and/or
- Blood does not stop streaming and/or
- Nose shape is visually totally different the injured one should immediately visit his or her doctor or go straight to the hospital!
Else there's not rush and it is advisable to wait for few days for the observation of swelling and pain (usually it is told to be 3 days). Of course there's nothing bad to go for a primary doctor's review.
